SmartStuf Data Systems is an Open Source success story.
The original service offered by our founder was the creation of small 'Terminate and Stay Resident' (TSR) business productivity tools. These were used by government departments and agencies as well as business to increase their operational efficiency.
In the pre-Microsoft Windows days all productivity tools had to be crafted by hand and the partnership approach adopted at that time has become the cornerstone of everything that we do.

In 1988 our complete tool-box comprised of only 15 80-to-120-line elements of discrete Assembler code. Today our toolbox contains many thousands of complete software solutions many of which comprise the equivalent of millions of lines of coding.
Over the years we have worked with all the various 'flavours' of operating system:
Mid 1980's - CPM and DOS;
late 80's - PC-Windows (the originator of the Windowing system now wrongly perceived to be a Microsoft 'invention')
Early-90's - Microsoft Windows and SUN-Unix (Solaris)
...and, for the past 10 years, the exciting world of, Open-Source solutions plus industrial-strength Linux.
