The SmartStuf Foundationtm is a publically sponsored training facility for disadvantaged youngsters.
It aims to equip the trainees with the Key Knowledge and Skills they will need in order to enter the IT/IS job-markets on a competitive basis.
The administration of the Foundation is undertaken as a public service by SmartStuf Data Systemstm and SmartStuf Softwaretm. The daily management and training is provided from the efforts of volunteers and associates.
The Foundation provides training in software programming and systems administration to young people with disabilities who otherwise find it difficult to gain entry point positions with regular employers.
The Foundation is not itself an employer and relies upon volunteer resources and contributions in order to provide the specialist coaching that many of our young colleagues require in order to successfully gather the skills needed to enter this professional on parity with their able-bodied job-market competitors.
